The 2027 Senate Movement 4 Apa/Agatu, takes consultation to Ad’Oju, Och’Otukpo, Stakeholders & Youth Aegis in Oju/Obi & Otukpo LGAs.
In line with the roadmap of the Benue South’s agitation for Governor, it is appropriate to unite the political blocs of the 4 Federal Constituencies in the 9 LGAs of Benue South senatorial district.
The Convener, Comrade Daniel Atayi said, one of the sure ways to go into the Governorship agitation as a United front, is the zoning of the Senatorial Seat across the 4 Federal Constituencies of Benue South, citing the unity of Zone A and B of the Tiv speaking areas as examples!
It is in this regard that the Senate Movement 4 Apa/Agatu has taken its consultation and sensitization to some traditional rulers, political stakeholders and Youth Aegis across Oju, Obi, and Otukpo LGAs and wishes to do same in the entire zone c!
The group visited the Ad’Oju, HRH. Daniel Ulegede, on the 24th Dec. 2024, to intimate him and to receive his Royal Blessing. The Royal Father received the group in his Palace, blessed and admonished them to be firm in the pursuit of this course, as it is the only way to maintain the brotherly love of political fair sharing, unity and peace, saying, that he who goes to seek equity, must do so with clean hands, and that the rotation of the Senate Seat, would be a great proof of equity.

In the same vein, the group consulted the Excos of the Oju Unity Forum, and were received by its President, Comrade Omenka Edwin whom in his absence, directed his Vice President and Secretary of the Forum, Comrade Grace Onyike and Hon. Benson A. Egbodo, Ph.D, respectively, to act on his behalf as he was yet to return home for the yuletide celebration.
Grace Onyike who was the immediate NUT Chairman, Oju chapter, was in company of the Oju LGA Secretary, who doubles as the OUF secretary, Benson Egbodo, Ph.D; Comrade Ogi Victor; and Comrade Ogabo Steven Ode, and all consented to expand the network and work with the Oju Coordinator of the movement, Comrade, Ikpe Peter, as they gave their full solidarities!
At Obi LGA, the group met the absence of Ad’Obi, but was received by the LG Coordinator of the movement, Comrade Alewu Bernard and his Secretary, Comrade Onah Friday, who led them to some Excos of the Obi Unity Forum.
Amongst the Excos, were Hon. Ahome Daniel, Hon. Onuh Paul Agaba, Comrade Anthony Okpenyike, Madam Josephine Odeh, to mention but a few; they pledged their unalloyed solidarity with the

movement, as they have began expanding the movement across the entire LGA in synergy with Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency, saying it is the right bloc qualifed for the Senate, and begged the Convener, and the team, to quickly provide courageous and willing Aspirant(s) from the Apa/Agatu bloc for effective actualization of the aim.
At Otukpo, the group consulted with the Och’Otukpo Oduh, HRH. Chief John Eyimonye and his Chiefs at the palace Office in Otukpo LGA, to receive their traditional blessings.
The Och’Otukpo gave his blessings and admonished the movement to also consult with Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency and ensure its readiness to aspire for the Seat, and that as Royal Fathers, they would be in support of anything that’s capable of uniting the zone c senatorial district to be a formidable front for the quest of producing the Governor of the State.
Amongst his Chiefs who took turn to speak, are Chief Owoicho Anyebe, Chief John Abel the Ejila of Otiya, Chief Noah Edeh the Ejila of Ai-Ono, Chief Adah Ellah the Ejila of Ibadan Street.
They all pray to the Ancestors to protect and strengthen the Convener, and his team, for the actualization of this goal!

Still in Otukpo, the group visited the former Women Leader of the People’s Democratic Party, Hon. Mrs. Abeje Egwa, at her residence, sought the solidarities of Women structures for the Senate Movement 4 Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency.
The Ace Women Gender Advocate, gave her unalloyed solidarity and pray for the actualization of the objective, saying, it is the key to a United Zone C, as all the 4 Federal Constituencies should have shots of participation in the Senate and never to allow only Two Federal Constituencies of Otukpo/Ohimini and Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo dominating the Zone as they have at intervals of democratic dispensations, produced 4 Senators, while leaving out the Apa/Agatu and Oju/Obi Federal Constituency blocs; giving great hope of success to the moment.
The Convener and his Team, Comrade Atayi, thanked them all and appealed that all lovers of unity, equity, and progress in the Zone, should join the movement and expand it across the Polling Units of the 102 Wards of Benue South Senatorial

District, saying that only this synergy of purpose, would guarantee the Zone C quest of producing the Governor of Benue State, after the tenure of Governor Alia.
